PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE drSL PLATFORM (THE “PLATFORM”). BY ACCESSING, REGISTERING, OR USING ANY SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH THE PLATFORM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE PLATFORM.
The drSL platform is owned and operated by GRADE LIMITED (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”). It enables users in Hong Kong to consult with licensed doctors online, and, where appropriate, receive sick leave certificates and prescriptions based on the attending doctor’s professional judgment.
Important: drSL does not provide emergency medical services.
The Platform facilitates access to independent registered medical practitioners for online medical consultations, which may include text-based, audio, video, or other electronic communication methods, subject to doctor availability and clinical appropriateness.
Where clinically appropriate, the attending doctor may, at his or her sole professional discretion, issue medical documents such as sick leave certificates, prescriptions, medication slips, referral letters, or other consultation-related documents.
The issuance of any medical document is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the attending doctor's professional judgment.
Some consultations may be conducted by real-time video call or other electronic communication tools through the Platform.
By using the video consultation function, you agree and acknowledge that:
You should attend any video consultation in a private, safe, and appropriate environment. You should not attend a consultation while driving, operating machinery, in a public place where privacy cannot be maintained, or in any situation where communication with the doctor may be unsafe or impaired.
The attending doctor may decline or terminate the consultation if the environment is unsuitable for safe and confidential medical communication.
You are responsible for ensuring that your device, camera, microphone, internet connection, and environment are suitable for video or remote consultation.
If a consultation cannot be completed due to technical issues, poor connection, user unavailability, failure to provide required information, failure to verify identity, or other circumstances outside GRADE LIMITED's reasonable control, fees paid may not be refundable, subject to any discretionary arrangement determined by GRADE LIMITED or the attending doctor.
Where clinically appropriate and subject to doctor availability, the Platform may assist in arranging follow-up communication or rescheduling, but this is not guaranteed.
drSL is not a substitute for emergency medical care. The Platform is designed for non-urgent medical consultations only. The services are not suitable for life-threatening or time-critical conditions. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, you must immediately call 999 or go to the nearest Accident & Emergency Department.
Examples of emergencies include, but are not limited to:
You acknowledge that drSL consultations may be limited by technology, including internet connectivity, device performance, and the inability to perform a physical examination. As such, the Platform is not appropriate for diagnosing or treating urgent or emergent medical conditions.
By requesting, joining, or continuing with a consultation through the Platform, including any video consultation, you consent to receiving medical consultation by telemedicine.
You understand and accept that telemedicine has limitations when compared with an in-person consultation. These limitations may include the inability to perform a full physical examination, limitations in observing physical signs, dependence on the accuracy and completeness of information provided by you, and reliance on the quality of video, audio, images, and other information transmitted through the Platform.
You agree that the attending doctor may decide, at any time, that telemedicine is not suitable for your condition and may advise you to seek in-person consultation, urgent care, or emergency services.
Unless expressly agreed or required for legal, regulatory, security, or clinical record purposes, drSL does not record video consultations.
Users must not audio-record, video-record, screenshot, livestream, publish, share, or distribute any consultation, doctor communication, medical advice, prescription, medical document, or platform content without the prior consent of the attending doctor and, where applicable, GRADE LIMITED.
Where any recording is made for clinical, security, legal, quality assurance, or regulatory purposes, it will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.
You may be required to verify your identity before or during a consultation, including by providing your HKID information, date of birth, contact information, live video confirmation, or other information reasonably requested by the Platform or the attending doctor.
You must not impersonate another person, allow another person to attend a consultation on your behalf, provide false or misleading information, submit altered or fraudulent documents, or misuse any medical document issued following a consultation.
The attending doctor and/or GRADE LIMITED may refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform if there is suspected fraud, impersonation, misuse, abuse, or breach of these Terms.
drSL respects your privacy. Our Privacy Policy outlines how your data is collected, stored, and used.
By using the platform, you consent to our data practices.
drSL is a digital platform operated by GRADE LIMITED for facilitating connection, communication, booking, payment processing, document delivery, and related administrative support between users and independent registered medical practitioners.
GRADE LIMITED does not itself provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, medical certificates, referral letters, or medical opinions. All clinical decisions, diagnoses, advice, prescriptions, certificates, and medical documents are made or issued independently by the attending registered medical practitioner.
The medical practitioners providing consultations through the Platform are independent professionals and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of GRADE LIMITED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither GRADE LIMITED, its directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, nor the independent medical practitioners providing consultations through the Platform shall be liable for any punitive, exemplary, special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, lost profits, loss of data, business interruption, loss of goodwill, or other intangible losses) arising from or in connection with your use of the Platform or the Telemedicine Services, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You acknowledge and agree that the medical practitioners providing consultations through drSL are independent professionals and not employees, agents, or representatives of GRADE LIMITED. GRADE LIMITED is not responsible or liable for any act, omission, advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescription provided by such medical practitioners.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updates will be posted on the platform. Your continued use after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
